How to Film Yourself

HOW TO FILM YOURSELF

1) Set-up your fitness equipment.

2) Set-up your Phone on your Tripod - your phone should be:

  1. Landscape (horizontal)

  2. Parallel

  3. About 2-5 feet away from your equipment.

  • The distance will depend on what you’re doing. Don’t get too caught up in exact distance. Just make sure you’re seeing your whole dog (nose to tail, head to toes) AND you also want to see yourself.

  • The reason you want to see yourself is so you can evaluate your mechanics. What you’re doing directly influences the dog, so it’s very helpful to see what you’re doing while performing the exercise.

  • You can prop your phone up using various objects but personally, I think it’s worth investing in a small Tripod (Click HERE for a link). You can use the tripod to record not only your fitness sessions but any other future training sessions.

3) Try to center your phone so it’ll capture the middle of the dog. This is also why you want a smaller tripod so it’ll be lower to the ground.

  • Examples below: The camera is a bit too far to the right. Luna isn’t totally centered. It should be moved just a tad to the left.

4) Don’t forget to press record!
